Telegraph Cove Resort is perfectly positioned to explore the Broughton Archipelago and Great Bear Rainforest by boat, some of the last virtually untouched areas of the North American continent. The adjacent waters of the Johnstone Strait offer some of the best Orca viewing in the world. And some of the best fishing grounds for five species of Salmon, Halibut and Ling Cod. Cormorant Island, with world-renowned U’mista Cultural Centre, and Malcolm Island are within day-cruise distance. From here you can explore the endless island chains and come back to re-fit, let us cook and offer you a bed.
Our 100-slip marina takes boats up to 25 feet. Showers, laundry room, and gasoline are available, and we provide modern fish-cleaning services and flash freezing. Power and water are not available at the marina.
Don’t have a boat? No worries. Nearby North Island Kayak provides tours and rentals. Whale and bear watching tours are locally available. Or bring your camper and boat, stay in our RV park/campground in the forest and launch at our ramp.
The Resort is built around historic buildings dating to 1911, when a telegraph station was built. Stay in an historic home or our newer cozy cabins and modern condominiums suites. We are renowned for our Killer Whale Café and Old Saltery Pub, featuring fresh seafood dishes and salmon BBQ’d on the old boardwalk. Visit the nearby Whale Interpretive Centre and learn about marine mammals and conservation efforts to protect them.
Come for the adventure, stay for the hospitality.
