Witsend Sailing School is based in Vancouver BC. We have 2 yachts and provide instructional sailing experiences from day sailing in English Bay to multi-day voyages in and around the Salish Sea, Desolation Sound, Discovery Islands and to Victoria. During the voyages you will learn basic to advanced sailing skills, navigation, weather, radio operation, docking and anchoring and many other sailing related tasks. We are able to provide certification of your sailing skills to Competent Crew, Skipper and International SLC license. WSS is accredited by the CRYA and NauticEd and follow the Canadian and US recreational sailing standards. All of our on water activities are conducted with safety in mind, that said sailing can be the most exciting activity conducted at slow speed, under 7 knots, (14 kph, 8 mph). It can also provide some of the most relaxing times when the wind is calmer or we are moored and enjoying the sun, the sights, smells and gentle motion of the waves, which resonate well for many of us.
