Come Ashore: Explore BC Coastal Communities

Our BC coastal communities range from mighty Vancouver to tiny seaside villages. All offer you a warm welcome. A memorable part of your voyage will be sampling their charm and hospitality, enjoying a fine meal, visiting heritage and Indigenous cultural sites and stretching your legs on trails and beaches.

To assist you, we provide a list of communities by coastal regions and sub-regions. You may also find communities as you plan your vacation under the Explore menu option. Click on a community to read a profile, find key attractions and links to community websites.

Profiles of marinas and Small Craft Harbours include lists of essential services — food, fuel, repairs — that are available nearby. The number of communities decrease as you travel north. It is important to know which remote communities have full services. They are Port Hardy, Port McNeill, Campbell River, Powell River, Tofino, Port Alberni and Prince Rupert.

Please come ashore to enjoy your favourite outdoor activities, view our history, buy fresh, local foods and enjoy the warm hospitality British Columbia coastal communities offer our maritime guests.
