Canada’s Official Source for Boating Education and Confidence:
CanBoat, operated by Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons, is a national, non-profit boating organization providing courses and seminars online, in person and by self-study, for recreational boaters.
Since 1938, generations of volunteer instructors have been sharing their on-the-water expertise with both new and experienced boaters, empowering them to navigate real-world situations with confidence, safety and responsibility. CanBoat has been providing boating courses well before the establishment of the mandatory Pleasure Craft Operator Card program by Transport Canada in 1999. We believe this program is just the beginning of what you should know when you get on a boat and why we are committed to providing comprehensive courses created by boaters for boaters.
